SME Connect Guide

SME Connect is a digital event executed inside the IEF Mobile App. It connects business/SME owners, who seeks additional capital or funding, to investors who are seafarers, OFWs and interested Filipinos who are seeking business investment opportunities in the Philippines.

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to easily register your own business to SME Connect. So, let’s get started!

 

How to Register Your Business in SME Connect?

 

Step 1: Apply Your Business

Go to https://iefapp.ph/sme_connect and apply your business by clicking the apply button.

 

Step 2: Fill Out & Submit Application

Once apply button is clicked, you’ll be required to input necessary information about your business as part of the SME Connect assessment process.

 

 

Step 3: Registration Link and Registration Key

Once submitted, you’ll be receiving your registration key and at the same time, the registration link through the email you have indicated on your application in SME Connect.

 

 

Step 4: Registration Page

Once received, click the “Register” button inside the email to be redirected to the registration page of SME Connect.

 

Step 5: Registration Key

On the registration page, you will be required to enter your registration key. Your registration key is the unique alphanumeric code that you have received on your email.

 

 

Step 6: Enter Required Business Information

Next, you will be required to fill up and enter the necessary business information in SME Connect. Once done, click proceed.

 

 

Step 7: Username & Password Creation

The next page will direct you to create your business’ username and password. Once done, click submit.

 

 

Step 8: Logging into Your SME Connect Account

Once you have finally submitted your account creation, you will receive an email indicating that you have successfully registered your account inside SME Connect. You may now log in using the Username and Password that you have created.

Click the “Log In” button indicated at the top right corner of the website (https://iefapp.ph/). Once clicked, you will be directed to the Log In page.

 

Step 9: Input Username and Password

On the Log In page, enter your Username and Password then click Log In.

 

 

Step 10: Set Up Your Account

Once logged in, you will be directed to the home screen of SME Connect. On this page, you will now be required to set up your account before you can fully enjoy all the features inside SME Connect. Click the “Set Up Account” button to start setting up your account.

 

 

Step 11: Complete 3-Step Information

On this page, you will be required to complete the 3-step Information including the uploading of your logo, COR - BIR 2303, and other necessary documents before being fully onboarded inside the app. Once done, click the “Submit” button and wait for the approval of your business.

 

 

 

 

 

How to Edit Company Information in SME Connect Account?

 

Step 1: Log In to Your Account

Click the “Log In” button indicated at the top right corner of the website (https://iefapp.ph/) to access your SME Connect account. Once click, you will be directed to the Log In page.

 

Step 2: Input Username and Password

On the Log In page, enter your Username and Password then click Log In.

 

 

Step 3: Go to My Account and Edit

Once logged in inside SME Connect, go to "My Account.”

 

 

Once you have been redirected to the "My Account" Page, you may now edit your company information.

 

 

If you have are already done with the changes, just click “Save” indicated on Step 3.

 

 

 

 

How to Know When Your SME Connect Registration is Approved?

 

1. Success Email Notification

If your business is approved, you will receive a successful notification email from IEF, Inc. stating that your SME Connect Application is approved and your business is now viewable inside the IEF Mobile App.

 

2. Profile is Viewable

Also, if your account is approved, once you log in into your SME Connect account again, you may now officially view your profile and see the information you have uploaded.

 

 

 

What Happens If My SME Connect Registration is Approved?

 

1. Available in IEF Mobile App Business Listings

Once you are approved, your business will now be featured and will be included inside the IEF Mobile App business listings. Investors can now see and check your business inside the IEF Mobile App.

 

2. Connect, Negotiate, Process and Deal

You can now also enjoy the features inside the SME Connect. You may now use the connect from where you can directly talk to your potential investors; negotiate where you can see investors who to pursue doing business with you; process is where you issue agreements with your investors; and funded from where you can view your investor’s certification upon successfully funding your business.

 

 

How Do I Know If My SME Connect Registration is Disapproved?

 

1. Disapproved Email Notification

If your business is disapproved, you will receive a notification email from IEF, Inc. stating that your SME Connect Application is disapproved and at the same time the reason behind why you are not qualified inside SME Connect.

 

2. Account Will Not Be Activated

Once disapproved, you will not be able to activate them accordingly. You cannot also log in inside SME Connect.
